This will be my AAR against LiquidSky. Before we started he asked me two questions:

1. Can I visit the thread? NO [:-]

2. Please don't run away as the Soviets.

I don't even know what running away is!
I think LiquidSky is in for some big surprises...

The plan is simple, it is to defend our beautiful capital, never letting the Axis near it!

Turn 1 : September 1, 1939

World War 2 has started and Germany has invaded Poland. LiquidSky's attack is
different from what I've seen before, going after Polish units and leaving the cities
alone. The Germans suffer 10 ground and 8 air steps, fairly average, a bit higher on the
air.

With most of its forces destroyed or surrounded, all Poland can do
is hunker down and prioritize the units in the cities.

Most importantly, reinforcements are set to 500, to fully use our stockpile.

The Soviets are a long way away from war. I will cover their deployments at a later time.
For now we garrison a corps in every port and the army in Murmansk is railed to Sevastopol.

The US is also neutral for a long time and we will simply leave them alone for now.

The UK starts with low manpower so we turn off upgrades and send aid to France.
No u-boats are active, but we still distribute our escorts to the Atlantic convoys.
All naval units head for home waters. There are minor troop movements - we will cover those later.
The Canadian corps is railed to Halifax.

France has the major role in Act 1 of the war.

All units, ground and naval, from the Mediterranean are being sent to face Germany.
A single HQ is left in Algiers.

Reinf./Upgrade is set to 500.

Finally the top secret Maginot Plan is set into motion.
Well trained 50% infantry from the Maginot line is being replaced
by 40% recruits. Not a huge boost, but it helps.
Maginot hexes will be left with small corps (20 steps) in garrison mode.

Turn 2: September 15, 1939

Krakow holds out and Poland will last another turn.
This even allows us the minor victory of overrunning an air unit.

The rest of the turn is rather uneventful. Still no sign of u-boats.
The Canadian corps sets sail for Egypt.

Turn 4: September 29, 1939

In a bizarre turn of events, Poland is all but eliminated, but since
Krakow is left alone the country has not yet technically surrendered.

I'm not really sure if this is an oversight or a strategy.

Poland mobilizes a new army in Krakow and will try to hold out a few more turns.
The UK builds a heavy armor unit.

Calvin knows where to set up the new capital

At this rate, Paris might well hold out until the Yanks come to the rescue [>:]

Yes, Denmark and Norway too. Not much going on.
