Interesting Campaign Ending

I know the original is an old game and I'm coming to it late, but the Russian campaign at mission 10 takes a weird and completely unexpected turn.

I'm not sure if it's a spoiler to say what happens (and I won't), but what happens came completely out of nowhere and I was both horrified and delighted.

Is this a known feature of the game, and if it is why does no one bring it up? [:D]

Also, let me say that the mod work done on this old game is AMAZING. Kuddos for keeping that going!

Hello PanzerGrognard,

I don't know if you mean to the "weapons of mass destruction"?

Thank you very much for kind words.

By the way, as I usually say to new friends who participate in this forum, "welcome to the ruins of Stalingrad."

I'm specifically referring, in the Russian campaign, to Yakov observing (In the scenario after Uranus) the Romanians eating the dead one night in a village and storming in to find out that the Romanian heroes have hero cards like invisibility, psychic attack, and other OP abilities. I thought the Romanian hero bouncing around killing everything had the sewer-rat card or something like that. Nope...he was a vampire.

Essentially the regular Romanians army is supporting Vampires and Werewolves. The partisans show up equipped with silver coated ammo to deny the monsters of their hero card --- chaos ensues.

It's certainly a wild way to wind up the last few missions of a Russian Stalingrad campaign. [:D]

Yes, yes, now I remember. It's crazy!

I remember that it was not easy to kill this vampires, despite the silver ammunition.

I don't remember Romanians historically using vampires in the Stalingrad area! ......

Yes, I played it too! Very hard!

In the German campaign there is also another "surprise" scenario.
