In my current game, challenge id 187838, I defeated France and formed Vichy. Bordeaux seems to have gone back over to the Plantagenets or something, though, as it is still allied-held, and I can't enter the area.

Nope, I had British AA-Gun sneaking out that port. Then the AA-gun left, keeping the port and surrounding territory in British hands. You need to capture, since I owned, post Paris + French Surrender.

When I mentioned in a message to you, was a "hint" you'd better take, else Yanks will pour in that active level-5 port very easily!

I've tried moving there and it's not available as a destination hex. I thought it somehow went neutral. Maybe it's just out of range. I'll try again next move and if I can enter, I'll update here.

False alarm. I must have been just out of reach. I was able to take Wineland for the Reich.

That was a player tip, hate to march half dozen Yanks early in the War on ya.
