I think this is wrong in the event.txt:
//USSR moves factories
$GiveResource
if_Date=9/1/1942
actionCountry=4
lifespan=tillTrigger
xyArea=237,0,60
addReportTo=Allies
text=Soviet railed factories come online in the Urals.
$End
That location is UK pacific resources. It should be 240,76 IMHO.

It's wrong in 1939 and 1940 scenarios. 1939 IO and 41+ it's right

I can't pay for one. While WarPlan did better than expected the amount of money a developer makes from a game like WarPlan is not a lot. It takes years of royalties payoffs from stacking games to pay off. Often the same engine is used from the initial version and improved. If a new game series is created parts of that engine can be used to make the work go faster. Then there is marketing which is huge. You can do it yourself or get a publisher which can take 30-50% of profits to do the marketing and promotion. Steam takes 30% just for you to put your game on their store and use their software not including marketing.
Currently with WarPlan over the last 3.3 years of full time work that took 6 years to make, market and sell I have made roughly $8 an hour.
With the Pacific that will slightly less than double it.
Then with my next set of games it will go up to a point but I won't get rich.
you can make a living off of it though.
Besides time paying for artists is incredibly costly. Luckily I knew how to use photoshop and have experience in user interfaces that I made 50% of my own graphics. I got a really nice inexpensive artist in South America that does board games to help also. But it still cost me a few thousand dollars between all the other costs.
Right now the list is WarPlan Pacific, then a fantasy strategy game, then probably WarPlan 2 or a space strategy game. Of course all of these games will be very different than what players are used to in terms of how they play compared to similar games out there. The space game I am still not sure of because Stellaris is pretty darn good.

What is the impact of this on my current PBEM games? I fail to understand.

Apparently this error has always been there I just haven't noticed. I'll upload the fixed scenarios later today.
