I have been massacring the carrier-based planes on board of English aircraft carriers for three turns now. Sometimes 4-0, 3-0 or 3-1. But they never stop coming back (two carriers around). Does it really hurt them?

Imho the British Carriers in every game of the European Theater I've played (like SC3, etc.) are used uber-aggressively by the Allied player in the early war years. I know the Swordfish TBs sank the Italian Fleet...however until after the Battle of Britain was over in '41, carrier pilots were a scarce breed, and the fleet in being was considered of more value than risky uses by the Admiralty. But it is what it is. I think that replacing carrier pilots should be very expensive early in the war.

I was told later a third CV was involved. And yes, it was costly.
