This will be the AAr where I play the Allies in the Scorched Earth
My opponent is welcome and can comment as much as he likes.
This game followed the same path as the other one. France fell in July. I inflicted a fair amount of damage on the Germans but they did not lose any units as I recall. The Axis spent the rest of 1940 going for Greece and Malta. Barbarossa was launched on the first turn of May. My Soviet army was small and I had kept a fair amount of inf corps (this was 1.06 version so not improved) and built some cav maybe 15-20. I saved a fair amount to build inf armies and was banking on surviving until they arrived. It worked but barely. My front line melted and on the first turn I lost Konev (didnt die luckily but the HQ was destroyed) so the whole summer campaign I had 2 5-5-6 HQ and 4 3-1-5s not fun (I got very little hq points maybe because my army was so small).
When the Germans approached Leningrad-Moscow-Stalino line my reinforcements arrived and the situation improved. I was helped greatly by cav units managing to cut supply to axis spearheads a couple of times in the early stages of the invasion. If that didnt happen it would have been far worse. In the end I lost Leningrad but managed to hold on to Moscow and my army size is at a nice level. The winter offensive have been as impotent as always. I find it hard to do anything as the Russians can barely find any 2-1 attacks even. And Soviet manpower is down to around 50% so dont want to take too much damage either.
In the Med the fighting in North Africa have been hard. The Germans have commited an arm corps and 2 inf corps so hard for the British to make any big gains. The British occupied Portugal and we are assembling troops there for invasion of north Africa as soon as spring comes.
The battle in the atlantic have been costly and I have spent a fair amount of resources on escorts and merchants.
I forgot to take screen shots of this game so will post some later.
