Maybe a silly question that I could have missed the answer to in the manual, but do hex bonuses like the crashed space ship need to be connected to your logistics network by road for them to add their effect?

Good question. Although the in game description says that the hex where the perk is has to be « connected » to the zone, from my experience you don't seem to need to connect it to the supply network, but merely having the hex inside the zone's borders gives you the benefit of this perks.

No road is required for Hex Perks (the official name!). They only need to be inside your empire to work.
