In the PBEM game I am playing the Axis have taken Gibraltar. I am debating a DOW on Portugal so I can base air units there to launch an amphibious invasion of Gibraltar and also base air units to reduce the Axis garrison.

How does a DOW on Portugal affect Spain? Currently it is 7% toward the Allies.

What is the make up of Portugal's armed forces? I am wondering how difficult it is to conquer?

Any other comments from players who have initiated a DOW on Portugal would be appreciated.

Best thing to do is to start a new game in Hotseat mode, without fog of war on, and as Allies declare war on Portugal and then see what deploys and happens with Spain too.
