Hi.
Planetary description say that these planet can sometimes (rarely) get non carbon based alien life. I tried to get it by rerolling a lot and never managed to get some.

Is it possible ? Which parameters are used to generate alien life ? (I choosed a 5 billion years planets hoping to maximise the chance, but did not worked).

It would be interesting to have a tickbox to force it.

Per the 'tool tip' for the Seth Class:
"It is rare, but possible they host an Alien biology with non water-based type of life."

I have tried re-rolling for minutes on end & yet to have any life forms appear.
Not a huge deal, but I was hoping for a chance to get a life form similar to what we see on the fictional planet of Arrakis.
I would like to see the 'rare' setting be adjusted up to allow for such things; or at least an option to do so for one's enjoyment.

I am finding the best (only) way to generate 'alien life forms' on a desert planet is to avoid the 'Seth Class'
Use the 'Unclassified' class, generate a desert biome via the 'Geography' screen & proceed to re-roll per the 'Biosphere' screen until life forms appear.
This, actually, does not take a lot of re-rolling to get decent results.

Thanks for the tip I got a desert planet with life now as well using the unclassified one.
