Is it possible to revisit the battle report again when you have closed it?

No. Kinda wish it was. Also for battles during AI turns.

In case you didn't know, there's an option under PREFS to disable auto-combat which pauses the fight before each round, and allows you to click into the next round. I found it very useful to learn the mechanics of combat at a manageable pace.
