Unit colors

It would be helpful if AI unit colors were clearly different from yours. Seems like one way to accomplish this would be to allow you to change your own unit color at any time during the game. So if I'm light green and run into a light green opponent, I can just switch.

You can change the unit formations secondary colour ingame, it would be nice to be able to change empire and troop colour to better contrast with terrain/enemies.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean. When I click on any unit including the OHQ, I see nothing called a Manage Unit panel, and a search for that term in the manual yielded me nothing.
There's things like troop readiness and supply consumption. Further right I can click on 500X riflemen and I can upgrade or scrap -- but I see nothing interactive that would allow changing the color.
Very confused.
