Shock Settings

OK, solo playtesting has shown me something that is contrary to the effects that I thought it would be. I went under the premise that I was told for the replacement rate setting that when one wants to correct a replacement rate of say 200%, the new event setting would need to be 50% (200% X 50% = 100%).

However, this does not seem to be the issue for the shock value setting. I originally set one sides shock value at 150%. And, when I set the new event to return the shock value to 100%, I set the new event for 67% (150% X 67% = 100% approximately). Yet, when the playtesting got to the new event, I was shocked to see the shock value was now set for 67%.

This is lunacy!

If I were to edit the Manual, how would you think this might read? For example:

If an Event is used to alter the Force 1 or 2 Shock setting, the effect is permanent. The new Value is independent of any previous Value.

I don't want to get into a dedicated effort to make an Event Editor Manual, but I would like to add some things like the above to a basic Editor Manual that are simple to understand in one or two sentences.

This is the way that I would state it.

"Shock 1" or "Shock 2": the value set is the actual value of the shock effect express as a percentage; and, the value set stays in effect until changed by a new shock event.
