I know if there is a metal deposit you can build a metal mine (all my metal deposits ran out)

I also know you can get it from scavenging (those are running out now)

You can also buy metal (but now it is way too expensive in my game)

Any other ways? I didn't see any other techs to allow me to get metal like some kind of deeper mining or anything. I am now running out of metal with no way to get more really.

'Metal soil filtration' in chemistry (second row). It will give you metal out of nothing - together with tech that gives you water from nothing (officially from rock).

According to the tech tree, there is at least one tech, Metal Soil Filtration.
Although you might be reaching the limits of your planet. Which size is it? Is it young or old?
Last resort is planetary invasion in the hope of getting your hands on more deposits.

Basically roll over your neighbors in the hopes of finding metal in their territories.

The question of "how much is there of any resource?" directly depends on "how much are you willing to pay to get it?"

Those techs really just answer both with "a lot".

If you are still looking for it, I attached a screenshoot. The Metal tech is the lowest one, so that might have thrown you off.


There is options to get effectively infinite of any resource, as long as you got (Solar) Power to run it. But some of those are really high tech. Some are limited to tectonically active worlds too.
