Just noticed this on my planet, any idea what that might be?

What's what? Nothing is obviously highlighted in that picture and you have not described what you want us to pick out and analyse. I assume you are not confused by the universal symbol for radiation hazard in the boring rocky plains hex you have highlighted.

The fissure looks to be just that. There are rules in the game manual for handling canyons and escarpments. I have seen the latter form. Stands to reason the former do too.

I've seen that before too and was equally mystified. I had no idea it was meant to be a canyon. Looks like a rip in spacetime

I meant the black thing that looks like a rift in the planet that overlooks the space. It doesn't look like anything.

I think it's supposed to be a canyon? Of all the map tile graphics, it's the only one I don't like.

I seen it once, one gigantic tank ditch.

It's a canyon yes.

Edit: maybe filled with discarded Shadow Replica's...
I really want to know more about the story/lore :D

Hmm... I always thought it was an oil river. Because it seems you can cross it easily. It's the sparkles that do it.

I would agree it's those sparkles that are causing people to trip over on this.
