Planetoids/moons that can be earth-like, desert...

Quite honestly, even small planets are too big for me. But playing on a map 'my size' always results in a lifeless planetoid or moon. Maybe an extra small choice of main planets? This way I could get plants, alien life, water etc etc in a small size that doesn't become too unwieldy.

The issue is this:
- small map requires small planet
- small planet = low gravity
- low gravity = shallow atmosphere
- shallow atmosphere = no way for life to form

Of coruse the planet needs also not too extreme temperatures (~15°C), and some serious age (5 billion-ish) to get life. But size is a often underapreciated factor.

Hopefully Vic can find a way to introduce smaller planets for all classes!

Agreed. I've posted it elsewhere as well but I will reiterate here because I'm not sure that ended up in this subforum (was before it existed).

I want a new Planet option: 'Artificial Planet' or whatever you want to call it.

In effect you can set every main scale yourself irrespective of realism and correlations: Gravity, age, temperature, size, etc. etc.
Basically so you can generate planets of every type you want on any size world.

I too might want to play a small moon size via PBEM with someone but I might want a change of scenery and have life and water for open air farming etc.

Yeah, I figured the planet generation was the problem.

Well, just make the core of the planet really dense. Problem solved. [:)]

Just make this part of the "Custom Planet" screen.

Custom Planet = set just about any planet you want with tick boxes and sliders.
