Are arachnids supposed to appear on planets that have no native life forms? Also, raiders have mounts as well, even though this planet should be deadly to pretty much everything.

WAD, both Arachnids and nomad mounts are assumed to have arrived from off planet (like humans).

I can understand mounts, but why would anyone import arachnids? Makes little sense to me, but alright.

Could also travel like rats and just hop a transport, or worse...board the ship, lay eggs, ship gets to new planet, eggs hatch, babies run into the vents or the wilderness and make like an environmental menace like the invasive species they are. Bonus points if there's two breeding pairs in those egg clutches so inbreeding doesn't render them all extinct in a few generations.

"A non-human Minor. These spider-like creatures are on the verge of consciousness and are found on many Planets. They have very tough carapaces and slow metabolism and they survived almost everywhere they were present when the Dissolution War happened. Why they had a small presence on so many human Planets is a question whose answer has been lost in time. Diplomacy is impossible, and they’ll kill any humans (civilian or military) they can get their hands on."

Maybe it was "The Shadow!"?

Hope we get to customize minor enemies at some point. Mutants and arachnids get quite repetitive.
