Would it also be possible to finally fix the problem with bombers attacking without fighter escort? These are automated actions that should never happen and they cause major Axis losses. I don't like it when it happens to the Soviets either but they can afford the losses.

I have seen so many automated ground support and interdiction attacks with only bombers and losses of 30+ bombers. I consider this a major bug.

Where do you see this, ie at what ranges? Is it possible their range just outstripped your fighters? I set Ju/He’s to 19 at the end of turn.

In my opinion it should not happen no matter what range I set. The AI sends bombers on suicide missions without fighter cover. That is just annoying.

I see this all the time with my opponents. Ground support with only bombers with insane losses.

Whether it should happen or not, once support was withdrawn from wite1.08 onwards it can never be changed.

Setting the range to something that will not see them unescorted is not as good, but it is a solution and maybe the best one we can get.
