I suggest that killing beasts and creatures should reward food and luxury goods.

The Skill "Ecology" mentions it is for "Guiding Local Hunting efforts".
And "Survival" is about reducing hunger for toops/population.

Those sound like they should cover the food angle of hunting wildlife?

Of course it would be awesome if it did work like that. Maybe a "Hunter&Gatherer Team" unit feat could be addded?

That's a good idea. Also, posture stratagemes with a bonus for attack value or hitpoints against certain types of enemy--like beasts?

I experience that the ZOO stratagem card is dropping often after you killed a creature 'army'. Maybe just coincidence, but I got that strat card dropped 4/10 times after I did that in my last game.

Only anecdotal, but I've conducted my own Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction campaign and have yet to see a zoo card.

I like it, kinda ties a bit into my Battlefield Salvage suggestion: the system is the same whether you skin and butcher animals or grab rifles and cart tanks away.

As long as all you get are rare resources, getting Food instead of Metals and IP would not be an issue.

The game has luxury goods to increase population happiness.

Yes and No.

"Luxury Goods" just seem to be something that is converted from other resources.
Apparently they can convert ~150 privatge Food into "Luxury goods and services". Having to add anotehr resoruce for this could be annoying.

Or it could just be part of the backend you never see, the same way it works now. [;)]

Converts private hides into "Luxury goods and services".

We don't have to track rivets.
