Decided to make a 'Green Bus' with a Triple Engine for laughs.
Well, that picture is hilarious!

Didn't know there was such fidelity in how the models could change appearance, love it. Even added an extra set of tires to support the weight :D

That's too funny! I knew the graphic would change for things like skirts, but never thought it'd add axles for weight! Nice touch! [8D]

Haha this is precious, did not know the pictures changed much according to what parts you use [:D]! That is great!

how does one figure out how which (and how much) engines to put in a vehicle?

If the vehicle is to be used for mobile operations, engine power should ideally at least be higher than the combined weight of the armor & weapon to avoid movement penalties. More engine power on top of that helps make the vehicle even more mobile, but once engine power exceeds weight, the benefit is not as large - though still definitely beneficial for stuff like mobile strike units and recon. Keep in mind that the vehicle's Engine Design percentage multiplies the effective engine power, so unless you're iterating on an existing model that already has high Engine Design, it's a good idea to leave some headroom in case you get a bad Engine Design roll.

Do you know of a way to check weight of the model and engine power while in the model designing process? Or must you guesstimate and can you only read the details in the design log after it is done?

Hover over the engine (or any other part), it gives you a weight sum including what you are pointing at.

The engine is the last part you select, so you can match it. Of course the Engine design roll is another mater...

Thanks, found it. I'm assuming it's the Effects stat (modified by other stats like Base, Structural and Engine Design levels) which determines the amount of total weight (weapon, armor, engine itself) that the engine can handle? I should probably read your Model Design guide in the War Room again. [;)]

P.P.S. : Just saw you edited your message, I think I get it now. Thanks again.
