v1.03b8 Unit formations have odd upgrade/downgrade paths

To note, independent units can only grow bigger or smaller, but cannot shift their composition towards/away from being motorized, mechanized or reformed into a mixed unit.
The latter I can understand as a design decision for specialist forces and to avoid cluttering the list with every possible iteration, but not being able to mechanize when there's independent mechanized forces listed with the same TO&E is just odd.
Also, you can't upgrade units from an HQ attached unit of, say Light Infantry, straight to Grenadier Infantry, you have to sidestep by first upgrading to MG Infantry or RPG Infantry before being allowed to switch over to Grenadier Infantry. Likewise for downgrading Grenadier Infantry, you first have to downgrade to MG Infantry or RPG Infantry before downgrading to Light Infantry.
