In two different games I am playing all of my Russian air units refuse to stay set to "Mission Only". On one turn I will go around the map setting them to this and when I load up my next turn they are all set to "Full Support". This is all before Barbarossa. Is this WAD? Will I be able to set them to Mission Only after Russia is at War?

What version are you playing? And is this an A.I. game?

I am playing 1.072 and these are both pbem games. Is no one else experiencing this? Very odd. I switched them from Full Support to Mission Only for several consecutive turns in both games; only to find that they had switched back when I loaded my next turn.

Waiting my next PBEM turn and I will tell you if I can reproduce.

Your opponent might be on an earlier version which had this bug.

Hey Harrybanana... I use Steam exclusively for our (and all other) pbem and it auto-updates and is currently listed as 1.072 and I believe it has been like that since we started our games. I'll try setting my Russian air from full support to mission only next time and see what happens.

I confirm the problem. Me 1.00.072 and my opponent also. Pre Barbarossa, setting the Red Air units to "Mission Only", the next PBEM turn, they are coming back to "Full Support" mode.

I have had a problem that just started this turn (#60) in a pbem game (not harrybanana). I took screenshots, but I am tech challenged and can't seem to make them small enough to be accepted.
Anyways, I put all my garrison units on no upgrades last turn, and specified which units to upgrade. It worked well except that several Italian units upgraded to tech I did not have, and the Italian Armor unit in Tripoli changed to a mechanized unit while the mech unit in Italy changed to '42 Heavy Armor. I have '40 breakout and '40 heavy armor tech for my Italian troops. Also, in Libya, one Infantry unit changed to '42 anti-tank and the other to '41 assault... I have '41 anti-tank and '40 assault. These were the only ground units that upgraded this turn. No other units for the Axis are messed up as far as I can tell.
This is on my Steam game which is 1.072. I use Panzer Mikes map and unit mods but have since our game began.

I am not having this issue. I'll look at the code but I can't imagine what could be causing this.

Are your aircraft forward ground supporting? I am tending to leave mine back.

Alvaro, this is all happening before the invasion of Russia. My aircraft are located well back of the front lines. It is early 1941. I am playing pbem games against 2 different opponents. We are all using 1.00.07.2. If this bug continues after Barbarossa than it will really screw me up.

Here is the screenshot of what I see when I open up my next turn. All 3 air units changed to Support Mode.

That is really odd. I have been watching my game and it isn't happening.

So just to be clear. Is this ONLY the 1st turn of Barbarossa or every turn including the 1st turn. But when neutral it didn't happen?

Also are you playing a Matrix or Steam version?

Alvaro, this is happening months before Barbarossa while Russia is still neutral. As you can see from the screenshot above it is only February 1941. I first noticed it sometime in 1940 when the Germans were still attacking France. At this time I noticed that all my Russian air units were set to Full Support. I thought it odd that the bombers were set this way as by default they should be set to Mission Only. So I went through all of my Russian air units (including the fighters) setting them to Mission Only; but when I loaded up my next turn they had all been reset to Support Mode. So I went through all my Russian air units and again set their mode to Mission Only. But when I loaded up my next turn they were again set to Full Support. This continued for several consecutive turns until I finally gave up. And it happened not just in the game shown above but in a second pbem game I am playing against a different opponent. Since this all happening before Barbarossa it is not yet a problem. But if it is not fixed by the time Barbarossa starts it will cripple me.

I am playing the Matrix version. One of my opponents is playing the Steam version. I don't know about he other.

I have seen this too, but thought it was perhaps my imagination and that I had made a mistake.

I have been looking at this and I can't find it nor do I experience it. It has to be that someone isn't updated correctly. I would verify both players are in the latest version on the game screen not the launcher.

Right now I am looking at my Allied turn and my Russians are set properly. Some on mission, some on support.

I am playing the Steam version (my D drive is dedicated to Steam games), and it gets automatically updated to the last official update (1.072).
Harrybanana: I checked in one of my pbem games vs a different opponent by setting my German Air units in Russia all to mission only during a winter '42 turn and they stayed that way. I keep forgetting to do the same for the Russian air units in our mirror game, but will do so the next turn...if I don't forget... just turned 62 and now my mind is going fast. [8|]

Since it is happening to me in games against two different opponents I have to think that if anyone is using the wrong version it is me. But:

1. When I check for updates it tells me that I have the latest version installed,
2. On the launcher screen it tells me that I have version v 1.00.072
3. Below is a portion of the screen from the Options menu before choosing a game.
