Colonies incapable of survival/private food issue

Right now, newly founded colonies are incapable of survival as they lack a Private Agri dome.
It takes forever for them to scrounge up the Private Credits to build one. Nevermind the population to support it.
Emergency food and even making them Unicorporated (to avoid taxes) can only help that much. And is a giant resource drain on the food economy (luckily not the logistics system).

What it needs, is to start with one Dome or Open Farm T1, right in their hex.
Private forms cost 1000 credits. So please just allow us to pay the 1000 credits when declaring the new zone, to make sure they got one.

That would make the whole settlement/zone creation process a lot better.

I think you are right this could be made easier. Adding a note to my to-do lists.

I might even go for some new type of Private Assets for those really small Zones.

best,
Vic

Some mini QOL buildings like a clinic, bazaar, security office would be awesome.

Absolutely not! I hate it when my Priate Econmy drags up my Civ Score. The way it is now I at least have some way to delay it, by keeping them off 1000 Credits.

This is still an issue for me. I created a new city fated to starving, because no private agri dome is constructed. What's the current best way to handle that?

Enable emergency food, so they can at least eat your SHQ stores.
Give the private Economy a lot of money - stratagems, Direct Investment
Consider removing Taxes by making it unincorporated.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, it's currently on emergency food, but it's not viable as it's eating away the public reserve. I'll try raising the public budget in the Zone Orders tab and use the Unincorporated option.

Make them unincorporated with emergency food on and as long as they are targeting to build a farm next then turn public budget to the max or however much they need for it. Its only 1k credits so should have enough in a turn or 2. There are also some stratagems like fat merchant or direct private investment that you could use as well. This happens when you capture cities that have seen lots of combat destruction and have lost their farm as well.
