Simulating Non-Combat Air Intercepts?

Has anyone had any success with simulating, using either LUA scripts or the basic game engine, non-combat air intercepts of aircraft from different sides? This would reflect the real-world occurrences seek frequently in, for example, the Black Sea, Taiwan, and the Alaskan ADIZ between fighter aircraft and bomber/reconnaissance aircraft.

Thanks,
Geoff

Try playing with the Side Postures and the Weapons Doctrines...

For example, a hostile posture would pit them against each other (they will seek each other out for combat) but if both sides have a Weapons Tight (or hold weapons until the other fires) doctrine, neither will shoot.

This should accomplish what you are looking for.

Sorry that is HOLD (not TIGHT)

HOLD is do not fire except in self defense. (you have been fired upon)
