Best way to reinstall "SE" to the current version?

Subject says it all.
Game has had a few patches; just want to do it right.

Download the latest version from the webpage (login required).
Use the patching feature.
Currently all gamefiles are in the game directory. There is nothing in the Windows Profile Folders.

To date per 1.04 there has only been 3 small files to deal with, which you will see after downloading & extracting.
What I do is make a backup of the 3 original files to 'patch' & place them in a folder inside the main directory named 'originals'.
In the case of the 'shadowscenarios/randome.se1 file...be aware there is another file in that folder named 'masterfile.se1master' which could also exist in a beta (per 1.03), but not yet.
Then I place the 3 new files in their place.
That way, when I get the new official patch, I simply replace the patched files with the originals, in order to ensure a proper update.
Don't know if all this is necessary, but I do it anyways. [:)]
