some questions on open farms:

Does each farm in an areal requires a road?

Is there any effect on radiation? I tend to avoid building open farms on radiated hexs but want to know if there is a malus

what are the best places to set farms?
currently I am based my decision on temperature, rainfall and terrain type (flat grassy lands preferred)
anything else?

Only temperature and hostility of biosphere are affecting farm output. AFAIK water transferred for free so rainfall isn't matter too. Mountains seems to be unable to converted into agriculture hexs, yes.

Assets have a quite high tolerance for radiation. If I remember correctly - up to 400 rads are ignored even without any techs like filters.
