Vassals

What are all the benefits of creating a vassal per a minor.
I see a 'Tribute' payment & all of his units, which is nice.
I cannot, however, enter his territory without declaring war...this seems odd.
The 'Tribute' & vision are worth the 'PP' cost, so I am not complaining. [:)]

Protectorates and vassals will become part of your territory if another major regime declares war on them. And yeah, vassals pay you a couple credits.
If you're playing on a game that was started on version 1.04, then you also get the unification and annexation stratagems. They let you diplomatically annex minor regime vassals/protectorates.
When you annex a minor regime diplomatically, you get all their militia and their govornor for free. The population will also be happy.

How to get these strategems? I run foreign office for quite long time and nothing like that in sight.
Edit: ups ignore. Scenario build version 1.03. Forgot that.
