I did some testing by starting a game with beta 5 run a few units out of supplies and watch my food resources on the left then did the same by loading on beta 6. (9 turns each)
I find no increase in food consumption but the numbers displayed are screwed up even somewhat in beta 5. On the turn my units were moved out of supply in beta 5 it reads food upkeep equal 10 / stocks 20. The next turn it showed Received 0 / Requested 10 but under upkeep it reads 0 instead of 10 and stock remain 20 instead of 10. (The stock number always equal double the units no matter how long it out of supply)
In beta 6 I get the same result (except the rate which unit starve vary some) but it always read upkeep 0 and Stock 20 (until they start to starve then 2x unit) even in supply and the received/ Requested in reads double than beta 5.

I wanted to be helpful and let you know it's not the food consumption but just the numbers displayed are wrong.

Was caused in beta6. will be fixed beta7.
