Windows 10 update after saving & ending a game (don't know what it was), now the game will not load.
Cannot start a new game & or save.
I am using 1.04b7 since it came out with zero issues & since June 4th this is my first crash.
I am also in a PBEM game that will not load. HELP!!!

Windows Update has a View History. What was the update?

If you're still on Windows 10 Version 1909, take a look at KB4565633. The update fixed a vulnerability in .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.

You may need to reinstall the .NET Framework runtime.

That's an educated guess.

I have tested that update, and on my test platform there were no issues with the game.

Yes the 2 new updates after I shutdown last night were;

KB4565633 & KB4565483...not sure if that is the problem, but prior to the 'update' there were no problems.

You could reinstall the .NET runtime and see if that fixes the issue.

You could roll back each update in turn and try to start the game. That helps confirm the update was the cause--and which update specifically.

You want to confirm causation, not just correlation.

Yes, all of the above are being implemented & fingers crossed.

I think I have found the issue.
A PBEM file, though not 100% sure.
The game will load everything but that file, however, my other saves would not load either until I uninstalled the Win 10 updates:
KB4565633 & KB4565483.
Now all my saves load except the PBEM file & am waiting for a new file to confirm.
