Question regarding interdiction

Mates, sorry to come around with another question: I was just wondering: How do you receive good interdiction values with the allies? I am in Sicily now - and while interdicting on 1 hex only I only get an interdiction value of 6. I am using all tac bombers plus a wide selection of level bombers, incl. B25. Do I need a special loadout? What is the trick? Thank you!

Its very hard in Italy/Sicily to generate high levels of interdiction. Your weapon of choice is tactical or fighter bombers, ideally with rockets, if not with a few 500lb bombs and the best target is clear terrain.
If its interdiction not unit bombing you are doing then the 2 engined bombers are not much use [1], the ideal is you stick something agile over a stretch of road and bomb on sight of something moving.
In Sicily, interdiction is not much use in any case. The Germans have mobile units and will tend to dodge around any specific hexes, the Italians are there to delay and obstruct in any case. In Italy, low grade interdiction is more use as you cause attrition to the axis truck stock (resupply etc).
[1] There is a quirk around the rail line mission (not the rail yard bombing). Here 2 engined bombers are useful and the British mosquitos invaluable. It might be a bit of an exploit but this one is often over-looked and is very useful.
a) it only puts down interdiction onto rail hexes - very handy in Italy as it means you don't bomb mountain tops but the most likely movement corridors as well
b) you seem to get a lot of interdiction score for your efforts
c) this increases both rail and road attrition of the axis supply system
d) the spill over from bombing the rail line is you get a lot of normal interdiction
... I now think you get too much of (d) which is why it might be a bit of an exploit but especially in Italy its the way to go. You can more or less close off the Adriatic rail links.
