Game Crashing After AI saves repeatedly

In my first play of War in the East, without mods, on Turn 8, the Soviet AI began to take its turn and then autosaved (the last thing in the activity crawl was "End of Logistics". The game then crashed. The game save is unable to be opened. It happened the next time, exactly the same way, again after I spent an hour redoing my turn. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the game (through Steam) and played again. This time I got turn 8 finished. Then I did my turn in Turn 9, and it crashed again at the same point.
Kinda annoying to say the least.
I have a Win 10 computer, Alienware dell, new, not the most modern but not too shabby either.
I was streaming the game with Twitch Studio (I intend to do a wargaming review video), but it seems others have this problem so I assume its not that.
Is there a fix for this?

Windows auto update can cause this this, ( win 10 has a bug where it tries to auto update every hour ) and make sure you update and restart before streaming or recording, or turn of auto update while playing, your save file is now unusable so its a dead duck.

Huh, Win 10 is annoying. Not sure how to turn that off, will try.
I worked around it maybe. Just do my turn, manually save, close the scenario, reload the game and end the turn. Did three or four turns so far. I was wondering if its some sort of memory leak thing that shutting down is fixing? Dunno.
Thanks for reply. Trust they get a patch out for this.

Go to windows settings, look for update/security, and tell it when, ie what time, to perform updates, i have it so it auto updates when i first turn on the computer in the morning.
Iirc its an overwrite of the auto save, making it unreadable thereafter, so a save with new name would solve it.
Only other thing i can think of is if your using OBS to record/stream with, it has issues if you also have chrome, when you stop recording/streaming, and exit, if you see a message info text pop up with OBS is still running, ( ie after you told it to stop) then you have a conflict.

Thanks. Will look into that.
Yeah, OBS would not stream War in the East at all, though I didn't know that it was chrome that was the culprit. Thanks again. Anyway that's why I am using Twitch Studio for this, it works fine with WITE.
