Operation game suggestions

I'm trying to graduate from the Panzer Corps games and I'm wondering if WitW on easy difficult would be too much of a jump?
I've been eyeballing War Plan, but I like the detail of WitW more, but it's my understanding that War Plan isn't as complex?
The other game I'm also eyeballing is the Strategic Command WW2. I'm thinking this would be the most logical jump over WitW, but SC WW2 looks a lot like Panzer Corps but at a grander scale.
Wisdom, comments and suggestions welcome!

SCWW2 is just a bigger type Panzer Corps on a bigger scale. WitW may be to big a jump. I like detailed games too and just couldn't get into it or the eastern one either. Take a look at Advanced Tactics Gold. It can be strategic or tactical or even operational. It is a game builder. The players have made about 50 scenarios of varying types for it which can be downloaded and it comes with a bunch.
Also for pure tactical try SPMBT and SPWW2 or SPWAW.

I've played SPMBT to death! Can't go back to that one. Graphics are just too painful to look at (not that WitW is a pretty game)

If you want to go the command echelon up but without escalating too much, JTS might be worth a look: Squad/Plt-, Coy/Bn-, Bde/Div-Level games of different timeframes and fronts.
My favourite for "complex but manageable" operational games might be Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa. The counter pushing might be nothing very special but it is my favourite because it adds this narrative, relationship, decision, dilemmata, and roleplaying elements which can make other wargames look absolutely bland after experiencing it. I still waiting for others to pick up DCB´s fantastic elements.

Instead of saying thanks and talking about the suggestions, he immediately jumps on a clown posting silly pictures.
So many wimpy manchilds among wargamers.

Humor helps to keep any depression away, releases natural endorphins which are pain killers, and it is better to be funny than to be a sad, depressed individual.

I agree that the JTS Panzer Campaigns could be a good choice, although they are on the lower end of the operational scale, perhaps "grand tactical" (most counters represent battalions).
For a more tactical experience (platoon-scale counters), but also worth looking at, would be the JTS Panzer Battles series or the new "Campaign Series" here on Matrix--currently Middle East wars only, but soon to include Vietnam, then various WWII titles.
My favourite for "complex but manageable" operational games might be Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa. I understand that a lot of people enjoy Barbarossa, but personally I found the "narrative, relationship, decision, dilemmata, and roleplaying elements" to be superficial, repetitive, and extremely annoying. Nice idea, but one that is extremely difficult, maybe impossible, to execute well at this point in game development.

How do you know who is an adult? Or are you implying that some of us - no matter what are age is - are children? [:-]

Well, I can't speak for the men here, but I'm definitely immature and a kid

I'm so glad I never grew up. Being an adult, it's like being partly dead.

You are only young once but you can stay immature indefinitely!
The differences between men and boys are the size and price of their toys!
Some girls/women like to play like the boys do, using the same toys.

There's also Command Ops 2 - the core engine and three scenarios are free, so you can try before you buy. Other modules are available at a price.
Primarily western front, there's also a module about Greece and one about the Mediterranean (Crete and North Africa).
No official scenarios covering East Front, although there are some excellent community scenarios covering Stalingrad and the Korsun Pocket.
Play can be to the lowest level you want (platoon/section) although mostly you would be commanding one or two levels down from the highest level HQ in the senario.
Highly detailed, plenty of control options.
