A fascinating, if dated, RAND report on Soviet submarine operations in Swedish waters. It discusses the history of these operations, the possible motives for them, their implications, and analyzes the Soviet and Swedish response.

It's interesting that this report was written in 1990, and still clearly sees the USSR as a serious security threat (the report's conclusion, by the way, was that the Soviet operations signaled an intent to launch a preemptive strike on Sweden in the event of an outbreak of a European war in order to force Sweden to allow Soviet access to Swedish territory on order to attack Norway). Which I guess the USSR still was, but in retrospect the portrayal is jarring; after all, this is the same state that would collapse within a year of this report's publishing.
