I would love to see a newspaper like the one from Supremacy 1914 as an option in the map configuration, since it would be quite op for the next reasons:

* You know who is at war with who
* You know how many troops and more or less from what kind (Infantry, tanks, buggies, arty) they have lose
* You would know more and less in what zones are they fighting
* Know how many troops other player lose against fauna
* When a rebellion starts or if other tragic events happens (Mortal virus, vital systems failure, etc)

But also, you would be able to

* Publish speeches and roleplay
* Taunt other players

In that game almost everything its done automatically (Than I listed as "op Knowledge"), its done every turn, you can see how much people died in every war, etc.

I'm sorry, but god what is that timeline. The Lithuanians and Saudi (or Hashemite for 1914, I guess) Arabia have conquered Budapest?

But on-topic: Yeah, this would be fun as an option. Maybe have it randomly fill itself out with lesser known data that we might otherwise ignore (or, for a new player, they might not even know such data is available buried in reports). "Citizens in X City have invested their accumulated funds into construction of a new Farming Dome" would organically teach them that civilians actually use their money.

In addition to the big items like wars, obviously. Those should always get on the page.

That game is like risk but in real time, therefore, every country is split "evenly" and your objective is "conquering the world".
