While viewing enemy hexes, Unit bottom tab and Zone asset/item bottom tab with recon and rad value are seperated. Maybe make a hotkey to quickly switch between bottom pab, squeeze them in unit tab, or display these values on map?

Rad values are displayed on map - there is a color indicator of radiation level. I don't remember but tiny green&yellow = safe even with basic envirosuits, everything else (starting from large blue rad icon) could be dangerous.
