We know many of you were anticipating the release of Combat Mission Shock Force 2.

Unfortunately, we have some bad news: we won't be able to release today as the game is still in the Steam review queue. It is entirely dependent on Steam, and there is nothing we can do but wait.

To stay on the safe side, we are delaying the release by one week; therefore, we will be releasing Combat Mission Shock Force 2 on Tuesday, September 1.

We apologize for the delay.

Darn I was saving my birthday coupon for release, it expires in less a week, can I have the deadline extended by a few days?

Why would this affect the Stand Alone intaller obtained from the Matrix/Slitherine Store or is this for the Steam release only?

The only thing you need to "apologise" for is bastardising our language [;)]

Hopefully while the official release date is now 1 Sep Matrix are intending to release it as soon as Steam completes their review. For all we know that could be just a few hours from now.

While a week might not seem like a long wait, CM does have this negative reputation regarding delays. Plenty of CM players are already exasperated by the long delays to Fire and Rubble.

Why would a delay in the Steam review process hold up the standalone release here on the Matrix site? Just release it in the Matrix / Slitherine store.

My guess is theyre intention is to eventually go to a Steam-only delivery.
