Does the AI use artillery?

Ok I confess sometimes when being overwhelmed I cheat and use the artillery etc ranged options but does the AI? Never seen it in reports. They have the units though.

I have seem them deploy arty units but I haven't given the AI the chance to use them, since the AI its pretty dumb (even on hard) and they leave the arty units alone without any support, so usually I kill them before giving them a chance to use them.

Hopefully this can be improved on in the future before new content comes.

Never seen AI use artillery.
(Or build sealed roads.)
(Or build rail.)
(Or build public logistics.)
(Or keep weak units covered.)
(Or not leave tanks in mountains and troops out in the wind.)
(Or use long range attacks.)

I have seen AI using artillery and doing long range attacks with it. It was still very bad at it.

I have also seen it. It's rare, but it happens.
