Problem Updating to 1.00.08

I have both the Matrix and Steam versions of the game; but I usually play using the Matrix Start Menu. Using this Menu I clicked on the "Check For Updates" button in order to update to 1.00.80. To my surprise I received the message that I already have the most recent version of War Plan installed on my system. But this is not true as the version installed is 1.00.07.3. I repeated this several times with the same result. I then opened my Steam account and it had no problem updating to 1.00.08.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem. Is the solution to delete War Plan and then reinstall?

When I clicked check for update on the Warplan start menu it also indicated I had the most recent version. The check for update as never worked for me so I have had to go to My Page and update from there. I also noticed that when I started the game after applying the update a message about something being corrupt came up and that it was reverting to a default. However it appears that my game has updated to 1.00.08.

Same issue with me. The in game updater is saying that I have the most recent version installed

Uninstall and reinstall I suggest.
None of the update methods have been changed from my end.
