Description:

Adds a lot of new factions to the roster (to date, 13 complete).

- People's Army of North Vietnam
- People's Liberation Army (China)
- Argentina
- Egypt
- Israel
- Iran
- South Korea (ROKA/Marines)
- Japan
- South Vietnam (ARVN)
- Cuba
- Taiwan (ROCA/Marines)
- Mongolia


Hundreds of new sprites, both reskinned and custom made. New units and formations meticulously researched and adapted into the game as accurately as feasible. Some new unit types adapted, e.g motorcycle scout, man-portable rocket artillery, flame launcher infantry, etc. Virtually all combat vehicles used by the new factions and workable unit types from the ingame period of 1965 - 1991 have been added: e.g Israel has several halftrack variants as mortar carriers and SP AA-guns. Some minor liberties taken in the name of playability: e.g, ROKA infantry given slightly more M67 recoilless rifles than issued historically.

To use the mod, simply select the 'change settings' option when booting up the game, then select 'Factions Plus' from the custom database dropdown list. DLC not required, although strongly encouraged to support the developers, not to mention the new factions, maps, campaigns and battles which make it well worth it.

That’s quite a compliment considering the source. I need to finally pull the trigger and check this out!

Would it be possible to also make a standard zip file available for download. My computer apparently doesn't like the .7z format and doesn't recognize it as something that can be extracted from.

If I use this mod, can I play the default db scenarios? Or do I always have to switch back to the default db to play them?

Scenarios are tied to the DB they were created with.

OK. Is there anyway to convert them? It doesn't look like they changed any of the original data.

Yes, and it is very easy actually.

In scenario XML file there is a parameter:

<string name="databaseID" value="default" />

Where "default" should be replaced by a new database value. Of course, it is highly recommended that the copy of the original scenario is edited.

Just a follow up. I made copies of the out-of-the-box scenarios to the user folder. I then changed all that default scenario XMLs to use the factions db. Worked perfectly. In fact, I took a bunch of workshop scenarios and did the same thing. Took a little folder manipulation, but it all worked like a charm.

I have a problem with this mod. When I start the game appears error:
CL_IODeviceProvider_Files:::CL_IODeviceProvider_Files():Unable to open file ...\ArmoredBrigade\data\graphis\flag\flag_ru.pnp.

When I get this file?

Hi qsmiron, all I can suggest is making sure you haven't gotten a corrupted download. That file name doesn't exist in the mod, I've double checked. Let m,e know if it works, it should.

I did extract and copy in the game folder but it wont work , anyone knows why ?
I have got all the dlcs too !

Have you selected Faction Plus database when launching the game?
