I've decided that the scenario isn't quite balanced so I made some changes and now I need to playtest it to see how it plays now. So I restarted. I'm using the 08/03/2020 version that can be found here:

What are you using as criteria for determining scenario balance? I ask because you’ve played this scenario so many times, I’m wondering whether D21 balanced for you is balanced for the novice player.

Well, I don't regard myself as an expert and I'm arriving at Moscow so early in the game for one thing. But it IS an excellent question. You're right.....I've played this scenario at least a dozen times now and yes, I've learned which way to go and what to do with my forces that by now I'm not really conducting a fair test. RichardIII has volunteered to playtest my latest version also and I'm extreamly interested in his game. Maybe I should give it a rest myself and just watch his progress. Or play something else for a while.

I`ll give it a go soon Larry, but if I may some thoughts. If you put in belts of fortifications around Moscow ( if you can in the editor ) as the Reds had, and if the AI puts units in them, then a Oct arrival at the gates of Moscow isn`t ( with respect

) all that great, what with Snow starting any time, which should trigger the advantages to the Russian Winter Offensive ( again I only know that from TOAOW III )
Before you quit this Game ( which you put tons of time into ) why not see if you can rush Moscow, or a least pinch it off and dig in ?
and /or see what the AI player brings to the late 1941 game, who knows , maybe it needs more balance to help the Axis [:D]

So sorry Richard ( and all the rest of you guys ) I've already deleted all the saved game files so it's all over for that game. I've gotten started on a new game already. I'm not through with T1 yet though so I've not posted anything about it yet.
Rhinobones brought up a really good point and I've been giving it some thought ever since his remarks. To give it a rest sounded good so I've started a
WITP-AE game with me as the Allies.
