I got GR mobile shield from ruins, and its description says "covers all allies with a shield".

However, in battle it apparently covers only itself (i can see shield numbers if i hover over shield itself)

Documentation, GUI, or gameplay bug?

Look in the "detail" page to see if an individual of you was attacked by the enemy and if the shield was used.

Keep in mind the Shield must be in the same Hex as the Troops that you are expecting to be protected.
