I tried using the alt-key described in the manual. Doesn't work. What is wrong?

Maybe you are victim of the bug that happenswhen trying to merge several divisions in a corps.

Alvaro, I have the feeling that this can be related to the "Fixed merging 2 divisions together name when none are available" fix. The point is that at this moment if you merge 2 division to create a small corps, you can´t merge another one to create a large one. This error only happens with corps created by the merge of 2 divisions. Other corps seems to not been affected.

I am not able to merge in multiple games. Two divisions, no option to merge with the alt key.

This is how it works.

Divisions merge INTO other units.
You can't merge a small corps INTO a division.

div + div = Small corps
div + small corps = large corps

1/2 army + 1/2 army = full army (soviets)

full army /2 = two 1/2 armies

There is an issue with the code. I believe I moved a wrong line of code in the game.

Right now merging 2 inf divs creates a large corps of 20 strength.....

So don't merge 2 inf divs.

div + small corps = ok.

I can't merge at all. I click on a unit, hold down alt, I cannot move into another unit. Is there some other way to do it?

Could you give more details on the two units you are attempting to merge?
There are some other constraints like both must be in the same state (garrison or not).
They must be the same type (both Anti-Tank or both Assault).
Also, during certain weather and terrain conditions they won't have enough movement to qualify.

No, they dont. You can merge anti-tank with assault infantry.

I'm trying in the North African campaign. Any two divisions of Italian infantry cannot merge. Any two divisions of Italian armor cannot merge. Same for Germans. They are not near the enemy.

The North African campaing is special. I don´t think that merges would work there, and defo no for the armor units.

You are correct. Just checked on some German infantry. Probably something else caused me to think I could merge because of that.

I'm unable to merge a single division into a small corps. I have tried this twice and have a screenshot and saved game to illustrate. Happy to share these. Game version 8.1 steam edition.

For reference I built 3 x new infantry divisions (Germany) and deployed them next to each other. Then I merged two divisions to create the small corps and tried to merge the third division into the small corps (NB: not the small corps into the division.)

Does anyone else have this issue? Thanks

Function is not working since last patch (non-beta).
