Loading Map = crash

Every time I try to load a custom map in a scenario generator my computer crashes.
I think 3/2 ACR had the same problem a while ago and he got it while we were trying to start a game. I think he gave me his problem. I don't usually try to load custom maps so I may have had this problem the whole time since playing 3/2 ACR. Does anyone know what's going on here?
Thanks

My guess is user error. Especially if you are the user.:p :p :p

Well, it is entirely possible since I don't dabble in the editor mode very often.
And, why are you picking on me! I'm not GH!:p

RB,
Was it one of the maps that is already in the game, or one that you downloaded/created? I'll be glad to check it out, but if its the latter you'll need to let me know where I can get it.

Thanks Tracer,
It's any map. I simply cannot access that part of SPWAW. It hoses up my computer as soon as I click on Load Map in the Editor. If I click Load, the game crashes to disk and the computer goes into a Safe Mode (that's what it looks like anyway) and I have to reboot by pressing the Reset button.

Sounds like a corrupted file somewhere. You could just do an uninstall/reinstall (after copying your saves and email to a safe place), but I'd run a 'thorough' ScanDisk too. With the H2H and v7.2 patches due out soon you'll want a 'clean' SPWAW installation to run one of them on.
Hope this helps

Gee Bob, with a re-installation looking like it's looming in your future, you might as well pick up WatchTower before you do it.

Thanks Tracer. I was afraid of that. It's not a big issue, so I guess I'll wait for the new versions to come out.

I have had problems loading maps when I have input data for Weather/Length/Vis etc. I have found that if I set Date then Map (to Custom) then Length, then Weather, then Visibility (the order does seems to matter) this problem does not occur.
Not sure if this helps.
Rask.
