Bought it when it came out and the DLCs, it showed at lot of promise but had some problems/freatures that made it unplayable in my view since I want a realistic game. It had some great solutions for gameplay but some things were lacking or made wrong and a lot of users agreed. Now it has gone a while and nothing has happened.

Heck naw, this goose ain't cooked yet. They are looking into getting playtesters for an upcoming patch which is adding a new feature, there's at least ONE more DLC in the pipe to my knowledge as well. Then of course, we have the highly anticipated sequel to look forward to.

IIRC they mentioned that Covid really screwed their development and a big reason for the slowdown on patches and DLC.

Take into account that lots of these remarks were probably already made by me or some other long time players, like, 10 years ago.
The game was improved a lot in some ways, like graphics or interface or editors, some others, usually linked to AI (for example transports for AT sections, general unit behaviour, etc.) or unit structure (multiple units per transport) - not much. AI is a major bottleneck.

Since I was a fan of SPMBT and saw this as a great replacement of that, but have found some flaws that makes it not so good to play, how do you get to be a playtester?

Indeed, current DLC was originally scheduled for May-June but complications due to COVID-19 emergency caused us some serious delays during the spring. In addition, work on certain features for the sequel is already well underway. And yes, we are releasing a patch soon for which we need a small number of testers, so we only announced it on Discord.

Armored Brigade is far from being dead. Hell, we just started.

A war game this well done to include all of its' features...will never die.[:)]
