Anyone know what this recon/scout craft contributes to the German game, besides being a "placeholder?"

I would consider it one of the most effective aircraft the in the Axis air forces

Flying it at 100% of airmiles uses only 1 tonne of fuel - basically nothing. Its arms points cost to produce is minimal. This is the ultimate throw away aircraft. This is the one you can put on recon bases right on your front lines without worrying about supply or even seeing it get routed over.

If ever you have wondered how to do spam recon - well Fi156c is it! And yes spam recon is effective to reduce number of ready aircraft below the enemy percentage required to fly. In the 8MP team game (see stickied AAR) I did this turn after turn followed by bombing Soviet airfields until there were no soviet fighters left. By turn 16 the whole Soviet air forces was sent to National reserve!

Every turn the very first action I take is to look at my Fi156C air groups and use them first to recon and exploit enemy air doctrine weaknesses. I consider it to be the very best aircraft the luftwaffe has!

In a future version you won't see the Fi 156 anymore. It had never been a recon aircraft.
