Weird Bug

I opened my turn in a mp game. Had a report I conquered a city i already own... followed by it falling to conquest, then a second city I owned said I captured it, followed by conquest... and I got fate points. But the control of the cities did not change hands.

One city is threatened by rebels, the other is... not having anything near it.


I have no idea what caused this.

Will e-mail a copy of the turn

Yep I have had a very similar thing over three times in 2 separate games.

Whenever I gain a Regime Feat on that Turn - My Capital City falls to conquest (which is impossible as no enemys near by - no rebels etc....), then It says I capture the city.

On one go, the Governor just disappeared to never been seen again, worker happiness and pop happiness drops to zero, about 90% of your public workers all leave their jobs, assets under construction just disappear (this included an industrial upgrade to Level 4 with 1 turn left to complete...).

On other 2 occasions various parts of the above.....

Its pretty massive effect on your Empire.....

Im guessing this is not some awesome strategem??? If it is is this working as intended???

The game appears to give no explanation as to what is happening.....

In my case population happiness and worker happiness shot up to max!

and I got fate points and packs. tbh more benefit than loss

This is a new bug happening with beta 8, what we have done in most of the mp games on the unofficial discord server its than we downgraded to beta 7b (just replace the files again and play your turn as usual). So far the bug hasn't happened again after we downgraded.

Yeah, this has now popped up in all the 1.08 games.

Losing everything being built, lots of workers, happiness, etc really sucks.

I've replied to your email Vic, attached the last 3 autosaves, and some screenshots of build versions from gamemenu and ingame menus etc. lets us know if you need anything else from us.

Hi all,

Big thanks for those saves!

I found the culprit. It was indeed a lousy line of code added in beta8 that caused Strategic Transfer to cause this.

Apologies once more and will upload Beta9 ASAP! (somewhere today)
