Ludendorff USA Inf anomaly

Been playing a long term pbem campaign as the Central Powers. We are into June 1918 and my opponent is starting to deploy upgraded USA infantry into the fray. The Inf 1 units he upgraded into Inf 2 were not performing very well against me initially..so I checked and compared the properties and can see that they are not comparable at all to French or UK/Allied Inf 2 divisions...in fact, comparable to Lvl 1 Infantry.

Is this intended, a glitch, or an oversight?

Thanks.

I wonder if that's a feature or a bug :)

It's a bug, and will be fixed in the next patch.

Oh my God! so my US troops will be green till the War Ends... [:(]

However I´m happy with them: they managed to save BEF to be thrown to the Channel! [;)]

Out of jokes... It seems it´s not an upgrading issue (units up 1 combat factor each upgrade level), it´s rather a problem of basic properties: US infantry units have 2 attack and defense points less than other Major Powers...
Fortunately air and armour units seem to work well...

Thanks for telling and for intention to solve next patch.

Cheers

Bill,
Thanks for the answer.

Zarevic,
Alas, your thin green line between my troops and the sea wouldn't have held if it wasn't for your master stroke counter punch with your French on the left flank of my 'Thrust to the Sea' operation. At least Hutier's sturmtruppen got to sample some French wine found hoarded in the ruins of Amiens before turning back on their heels [:D]

I was trying to find a way during the fighting withdraw to Arras to do some damage to the Americans when I noticed something wonky with the Lvl 2 Inf that were advancing on me. Thats when I decided to warn you in the ingame chat and go on the forum to see what this peculiar aspect of your doughboys was all about.
