I am trying to find a good 'sub text' for an ANZAC banner and ran in a total blank. What emphasis would do them more justice? Desert or jungle? Any help greatly appreciated whenever anyone has the time.

Lt Gen Birdwood [commander at Gallipoli and originator of the name ANZAC] stated that his men have never ending courage, determination and cheerfulness and many of them had given their lives willingly for the King and Country's sake.
So,
"ANZACs: Never ending courage!"

Just replace that pommy flag with an Aussie one and the title South Australians to Australians.
Then she'll be apples mate.

Everyone will flame me for this (and rightly so)

you could get by with KIWI's. But ANZAC is always capitals.
And either would do them proudly. I'd prefer the jungle.

No its the Kiwi's that go Baa.
Kiwi is a small flightless bird ( just like the New Zealand Air Force thanks to their government).

That reminded me of one I heard from an Aussie tourist a while back:
An Aussie, a Brit and a Yank were walking down a country lane when they heard a commotion behind some bushes. Closer inspection revealed a sheep that had become entangled in a wire fence with its rear end in the air, twitching.
The Yank: "I wish that was Cindy Crawford".
The Brit: "I wish that was Liz Hurley".
The Aussie: "I wish it was dark".

I have a set of books published during the second world war by the Australian Army (I have some Airforce and Navy ones as well).
I'll have a lookthrough them and seeif anything really stands out.
They have lots of good pictures and posters in them.
Another joke.
A Kiwi farmer moves to an Australian farm on an exchange program. On his first day he comes acrss a flock of sheep.
Feeling a bit home sick he has way with one of them. Just at that moment the Aussie farmer comes up and catches him in the act and calls out " hey mate, your meant to be shearing them".
The Kiwi replies " I'm not sharing them with anyone".

lol..sheesh and I thought the Welsh had a reputation when it comes to sheep...anyways...
As much as I liked the Aussie recruitment poster I'm afraid it's dimension make it impossible to turn it into a default sized banner . The whole thing becomes unreadable when I resize it and frankly the bloke with the rifle turns into something I cannot describe on a public board.
I did find some graphics for the aussies and kiwis but the supply line is thin. I can't find that much online on them. So if anyone finds anything australian/new zealand related and is willing to put it up here I'd be grateful. I strongly prefer graphics ( be it paintintg sor airbrush or whatever) over photographs since they usually help make a more clear easier to digest banner.
Actually if anyone knows of a website made by/dedicated to the artists that made the art for the model kit boxes we used to buy..well..please leave the link here somewhere and I'll get to work with anything useful I might find on it.

if you have any of the Osprey books they usually have artist credits there....and some of those artists may have websites.
Of course then there is the issue of copyrights.

I found a website of Osprey, send them a nice e-mail asking for permission. Now it's a matter of patiently waiting I suppose

Shame, they have nice stuff there, I am itching to get going.
Good Luck...

hope you get a note of approval, because the Osprey site does have a lot of good artwork that would make killer banners!
