Population pre war

I am wondering if anyone has had any great success getting billions of population. For me I use the largest planet and SIWA. if the starting temp is around 20 degrees I can get 800 to 1100 rain fall and that can after much trial an error lead to at most 11 Billion average is usually much lower.
Anyone have other results? I once saw a planet that said it had mega cities on it have never gotten that again.

11 billion? that is quite a lot, not sure where this game will lead to, i do have earthlike conditions, and i'm playing at the largest of sizes, but with the gamespeed slow, and 6 other majors progression is pretty slow, not to mention the awkward low amount of turns i can play in a day ( work etc ) atm i have 11 cities of which the largest is inhabited by 300k people, belief i'm just hitting a million total but.. with the score barely at 17 points, and this took me 2 months btw to get this far, and me leading... lets say i will update when i can show more definite numbers

These are pre-war numbers, I've found than its extremely hard to get more than 200k of pop in cities if you keep expanding and conquering new cities as pop tends to migrate

Yes, when you're rolling to generate the map, there is one step called "colonization" which determines the number of zones, survivors and ruins on the map, normally it ranges from 50k-300k, but better planet conditions can give you easily 1M or more, in this case, the OP its asking if somebody has gotten more than 11M (which we haven't seen either on the mp discord server)
