Some Basic Questions

I really want to play a Civil War game and AGEOD's are, well, AGEOD's and Grand Tactician is nowhere near ready so I'm back to this.
However, I'm having some trouble remembering some basic things.
For one thing, is there no way to read the turn messages a second time? On Windows 10 the messages about production and commanders goes by so fast, that I couldn't read it. And I can't figure out to view it a second time.
Second, how do you view multiple battles under the F2 detailed battle report. I had two battles on my first turn: McClellan in Grafton and McDowell in Manassas. Whenever I go to F2, however, I can only see McClellan's battle. How do I view the bigger battle involving McDowell?
