After the announcement I thought it might be a good time asking: Will the Company's numbering of WG german units be fixed in the next installment?

It is a minor issue that makes my OOB-OCD tingle. There is no 1st Manoeuvre unit in a WG Battalion. The 1st COmpany is always the H&S Company. Seeing a 1st Tank Company in a Panzerbattalion irritates me a little.

Calgar, the fast answer is no. The routine that reads the OOB info from the spreadsheets has a set way to build up and number units. It's already some hair pulling code. Now, the new Scenario editor does have the means to allow renaming of units in a couple of places, and depending on the time the scenario designer has, those types of national naming conventions can be used in a scenario.

As a side note, if you have a West German 80s OOB that shows that structure, I can compare to what we have for the new Cold War data files and make some edits to keep the tank company from being the 1st one in a battalion structure.

You can see, that the numbering starts at 2 and there is no 1st Panzerkompanie, since that is the H&S Company.
